Death by "Death"

"Death"... not to be taken lightly.
"Death"... brought me near to tears.
"Death"... definitely hard to swallow.
"Death"... the level of spiciness of the wings I had tonight.

Friend in town, and out for wings we went. Duff's famous wings.
Boy oh boy, I have never had anything this spicy! Not even "The world's spiciest chilli sauce" I had in Taiwan years ago. The problem with tonight's wings, the spice was just pure pain. It doesn't taste good. Anyone who loves spicy food knows the difference between "spicy and yummy" from "painfully spicy". Crazy part of it all, at 500,000 heat units, "Death" wasn't even the highest level offered at the restaurant! "Armageddon" was the highest, coming in at 850,000 heat units!!!

People who knows me knows that I love spicy food. But sadly, I have to admit that I could not even finish one wing. Looking around on the walls in the restaurant, there is a wall of fame. This one guy is at the top of the chart for 2 different categories:
1. 86 wings in 1hr
2. 60 Aarmageddon wings

This guy either has no palate in his mouth, or has an amazing tolerance of pain! If it's the latter, kudos to you my hero!

Gosling Spicing Up the morning

KB: KA is now a proud mother of a baby duck

KA just called to say she's delayed on her way to work as she could not bare to leave a baby duck in the middle of the road, with no mother in sight.

Minutes later...

KA walked into the office with baby bird in her palm. Sooooooo cute and fluffy!

KB looks up on the web and found out that what we have here is actually a Canadian Gosling (baby goose)! We can see that KA was not going to get any work done as baby gosling has already started to form imprints, thinking KA is the mother. Getting very attached to KA, baby gosling was not about to be parted, and started to chirp whenever KA tries to put it down in the temporary nest we made for it. We started teasing KA that this is just like the movie "Fly Away Home" coming to life.

KA does the right thing and brought it to the animal shelter, in the capable hands of professionals who have tonns of experience with abadoned birds. That ended the excitement of the day, but not before I got a shot of prove. What a way to start the morning...

A Friend in Need, A Friend Indeed???

I try to be there for my friend, and I think I have yet to fail in that aspect. So when I'm in need, why is it that people I think I can count on fails me?

I realise, majority of the people are not equiped to handle stress and problems. Especially when it's other people's problem. It's not even because they're not capable. They just do not give a damn.

However, there is one friend I know I can definitely count on. We do not share alot of close-to-heart problems with each other, coz we're both very alike. We do not believe in piling our problems on others, and we both know how to handle ourselves. But today, I really felt the need to have someone listen to me for a change, and "Y" was absolutely there for me. It was a great conversation, everything felt right. Unexpectly, the world seems sunnier! Thank you so much my dear friend!!!
